Our first stop was the Ohio State Fairground Expo Center, where we attended The Oddities and Curiosities Expo. The moment we entered, we were greeted by a bustling crowd and a vast array of fascinating odd and weird exhibits. Despite it being early in the morning, the venue was already packed with enthusiasts eager to explore the world of peculiar treasures. The sight of peculiar artifacts, captivating art pieces, and even an exorcism kit left us intrigued and excited to uncover the unexpected.
Amidst the exploration, we found ourselves drawn to the food court within the Expo Center. The tempting aroma of popcorn and snacks filled the air, and we couldn’t resist indulging in some much-needed sustenance. The food court offered a variety of options, from coffee to alcoholic beverages, ensuring that visitors could satisfy their cravings. It was a welcome break, allowing us to recharge before delving back into the world of oddities and curiosities. The lively atmosphere and the opportunity to connect with fellow enthusiasts added to the overall charm of the experience.
After the Expo, we ventured to Thurman’s Cafe, a renowned spot in Columbus known for its delectable burgers and beers. Our hunger pangs were satisfied as we savored appetizing pickle chips before diving into our chosen burgers. Wes opted for the Thurman Burger, while Chanda indulged in the flavors of the blue cheeseburger. The burgers were cooked to perfection, bursting with taste and leaving us craving more. Although messy, it was an experience worth savoring, reaffirming Thurman’s Cafe as a must-visit destination for burger aficionados in Columbus.
