Welcome to DinkLife! We’re Wes and Chanda, and we’re thrilled to share our weekend adventure with you. Our destination? Cincinnati, Ohio, where we’re staying at the dog-friendly Camp Cedar while visiting the renowned Kings Island amusement park. Located just a five-minute drive away, this charming campground offers RV spots and cozy cabins for rent. With our furry companions in tow, we opted for a cabin, allowing us the convenience of easily taking breaks from the park to care for our dogs. Join us as we explore our cozy cabin.
Upon arriving at Camp Cedar, we were greeted by the friendly staff and a picturesque cabin nestled in nature’s embrace. Priced at $124 per night, the cabin offered all the comforts we needed for a memorable stay. The open layout featured a fold-out couch and a spacious kitchen, perfect for preparing meals or enjoying a hearty breakfast before heading out for the day. The full-size bathroom provided convenience, complete with a tub-shower combo. Finally, we unveiled the bedroom door, and our two furry companions, Wadsworth and Griswold, eagerly joined us. It was a relief to find a pet-friendly accommodation that allowed us to bring our beloved dogs along.
In addition to the comfortable cabin, Camp Cedar offered a range of amenities for guests to enjoy. Although the weather was a bit chilly during our visit in late April, we explored the inviting pool area and admired its potential for warmer days. We also discovered an on-site gym exclusively for adults and convenient laundry facilities. The campground boasted a bar and restaurant, providing options for dining and socializing. As we stepped into the gift shop, we found an array of essentials and treats, ensuring that even the smallest forgotten items could be easily obtained. Camp Cedar’s attention to detail and thoughtful amenities added to the overall appeal of our stay.
Our time at Camp Cedar near Kings Island was an enjoyable escape from the everyday routine. The proximity to the amusement park allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the thrills and excitement it offered, while also providing a cozy retreat for relaxation. The dog-friendly nature of the campground made it an ideal choice for pet owners like us. With beautiful surroundings, welcoming staff, and an array of amenities, Camp Cedar exceeded our expectations. Whether you’re seeking adventure or a tranquil getaway, we highly recommend considering Camp Cedar as your base for exploring Cincinnati’s attractions.
