In the enchanting ambiance of Stan Hywet, my incredible work team and I embarked on a day of volunteering. We gathered early at the estate, ready to restore the surrounding woods. Diligently, we cleared fallen trees and branches, rejuvenating the landscape and ensuring a safer environment for visitors.
Amidst our efforts, we forged stronger bonds as a team, sharing laughter. As a delightful reward, we were treated to a tour through the historic house, built between 1912 and 1915 for F. A. Seiberling, co-founder of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, and his wife, Gertrude Ferguson Penfield Seiberling. The experience left us in awe, deepening our appreciation for the estate’s rich history and amazing grounds.
