Our Last Day in Japan at Tokyo DisneySea’s

Hey there, it’s Wes and Chanda, and welcome back to our Japan travel series. Today, we’re excited to share our unforgettable experience on our second and final day at Tokyo DisneySea, which also marked the end of our incredible journey in Japan.

To start off, we want to emphasize that Tokyo DisneySea is unlike any Disney park we’ve ever visited. Today, we skipped rope drop and decided to enjoy a leisurely breakfast at a nearby eatery called Ikspiari, even though breakfast options were limited. It was a refreshing change from the early morning hustle. We also suggest that the best breakfast is usually offered at your hotel if you’re staying around Disney.

One highlight of our day was securing seats for the evening show. Unlike Disney parks elsewhere, Tokyo DisneySea requires reservations for nighttime shows. We entered a lottery through the Disney app and were fortunate to secure great seats for the performance. Trust us; this show is a must-see. It featured breathtaking fireworks, dazzling laser shows, and projections on surrounding buildings, creating a 360-degree immersive experience. We both had tears of joy throughout.

Afterward, we decided to maximize our day by purchasing an Express Pass for Tokyo DisneySea’s version of Soarin’, which was an incredible ride. The pre-show alone was worth it, featuring cutting-edge technology that left us in awe. Then, we explored different areas of the park we hadn’t seen the first day, enjoying everything Tokyo DisneySea had to offer.

For lunch, we made a reservation at Magellan’s, a top-rated restaurant in the park. The dining experience was impeccable, and we savored a multi-course meal that included delicious appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Despite being on the pricier side, it was worth every yen.

We spent the afternoon shopping for unique Japanese Disney merchandise, which was superior to what we typically find at Disney parks in the US. From Haunted Mansion collectibles to themed toys, we couldn’t resist. We even indulged in some Gashapan, those addictive capsule toy machines.

As the day wound down, we returned to our prime spot for the evening show, marveling at the orderly and respectful crowd. Unlike back home, Tokyo DisneySea visitors are polite and considerate, making the experience all the more magical.

The nighttime show was the perfect finale to our Japan trip, rekindling our love for Disney magic and leaving us with unforgettable memories. Tokyo DisneySea is, without a doubt, a gem among Disney parks, offering a uniquely magical experience that we’ll cherish forever.

As our Japan travel series comes to a close, we can’t emphasize enough that there’s so much more to explore in this incredible country. Whether you’re a Disney enthusiast or simply seeking an extraordinary adventure, Japan has something to offer everyone. So, as always, whatever you decide to do, just get out there and do it!
