Hey, it’s West and Chanda, and welcome to DinkLife! We’re currently in Germany, exploring the magical city of Cologne and its enchanting Christmas markets. With pockets of markets spread around the city, we’ve set out to experience as many as we can in the limited time we have. Led by the dazzling lights, our first stop was a vibrant market where we indulged in a delightful snack called langos, featuring speck and cheese – a ham-like treat with fluffy dough and a garlic-infused sauce.
As we traversed the city, we encountered various market highlights, including a fancy carousel, delectable crepes, unique mushroom dishes, and even wooden utensils and biodegradable bowls, showcasing Germany’s commitment to sustainability. The journey continued with a picturesque walk from New Market to Old Market, offering a glimpse of the city’s charm. Noteworthy was the €4 gluehwein, where you can return the cup for a refund.
We marveled at the market’s diverse offerings, from roasted chestnuts to sauerkraut sausage, and enjoyed the attention to detail in the miniature manger scenes. The video captured the immense scale of the market, the grandeur of Cologne’s cathedral, and the delicious diversity of German cuisine. From chocolate-covered fruits to traditional sausages, we savored every moment of our day-long adventure in Cologne’s Christmas markets.
