Hey, it’s Wes and Chanda, and today we’re still in Rust, Germany, exploring Europa’s sister park, Rulantica. This massive indoor water park also has an outdoor section, but due to December’s chill, we opted for the cozy confines of the indoor park. Equipped with a Hyggedal rental, a private haven away from the crowds, we embarked on a day of water-based fun and relaxation.
Our first impressions were nothing short of amazement. Themed buildings, saunas, and a steam room awaited us in our exclusive lounge area on the second floor. The cost, totaling €163 for the day, included the private seating, park admission, and access to the sauna areas. The serene atmosphere, panoramic views, and the convenience of towels provided in our area made the experience even more enjoyable.
The upper floor boasted three saunas with varying temperatures, a steam room, and adult-only spaces. The nude sauna experience was a first for us, but the welcoming atmosphere made it comfortable. The highlight was the sugar scrub in the steam room, leaving our skin feeling rejuvenated. The wristband payment system throughout the park added convenience, allowing us to tap and pay effortlessly.
As the day unfolded, we marveled at the outdoor section, water slides, and various themed areas. The unique feature of the water park was the ability to stay inside for the entire duration, with drinks, meals, and even a 25-minute massage available, Chanda booked a massage for €45.
After a blissful nine-hour stay, filled with coffee, drinks, and delicious food, we left Rulantica with a newfound appreciation for water parks. Even for Chanda, who hadn’t visited one in over a decade, the experience was fantastic. So, whether you’re a water park enthusiast or a casual visitor, Rulantica offers a day of pure enjoyment. As always, whatever you decide to do, just get out there and do it.
