The Weird but Awesome: Canton Classic Car Museum

Hey, it’s Wes and Jay, and today we found ourselves in Canton, Ohio, at the Canton Classic Car Museum. This hidden gem is only open from Wednesday to Friday, from 10 AM to 4 PM, and admission costs $10 per person. We’ve been here before, about nine years ago, and remember it being a pretty cool little car museum. It seemed like it might have been closed during the pandemic, but now it’s back up and running, so we decided to check it out again.

The museum is packed with all sorts of treasures, from classic cars to vintage memorabilia. It even has a scavenger hunt, which adds a fun twist to the visit. As we explored, we marveled at the array of car emblems, unique vehicles, and historical artifacts on display. The museum is housed in what used to be a Ford dealership, dating back to the early 1900s, which adds to its charm and character.

One of the highlights was learning about the history of the building itself and how it was transformed into the museum we see today. The collection spans decades, offering glimpses into automotive history and Americana. From classic cars of the 1950s to quirky memorabilia like pinball machines and fortune teller booths, there’s something to capture everyone’s interest.

After spending about an hour and a half exploring the museum, we left feeling satisfied with our visit. At $10 per person, it was a worthwhile experience, and we appreciated the effort put into maintaining and curating such a unique collection. If you’re ever in Canton and looking for something off the beaten path, the Canton Classic Car Museum is definitely worth a visit. As always, whatever you decide to do, just get out there and do it!
