Hey, it’s Wes and Chanda, and welcome to DinkLife! Today, we’re at Kings Dominion in Virginia, making the most of our Cedar Fair Prestige passes. The park opened at 11:00 AM and will be open until 10:00 PM. Since it’s a Saturday, we’re unsure how busy it’ll get, but we’re excited to explore. From what I remember, Kings Dominion is a lot like Kings Island. I was here about 35 years ago, so it feels like a new experience for both of us.
We kicked off our day with a ride on Twisted Timbers, an amazing RMC coaster. The ride’s intense airtime and twists really stood out. Afterward, we headed to the back seat of the coaster for an even wilder experience. The park’s layout and attractions remind us of Kings Island, with a mix of familiar and unique rides. We love the park’s old-school charm and the abundance of trees providing plenty of shade.
Next, we tried out Reptilian, a bobsled-style coaster, and Project 305, an Intamin Giga coaster. Reptilian was a fun, speedy ride through the woods, while Project 305 was intense but didn’t quite live up to the hype for us. We also enjoyed a classic log flume ride, Shenandoah Lumber Company, which took us through a scenic, wooded area with two drops.
Overall, our day at Kings Dominion has been fantastic. The park’s well-maintained rides, beautiful scenery, and friendly atmosphere make it a top-notch destination. Stay tuned for more adventures, and remember, whatever you decide to do, just get out there and do it!
