This was our first visit to Knoebels, and we absolutely loved it!

Hey, it’s Wes and Chanda—welcome to DinkLife! Today, we’re exploring Knoebels in Elysburg, Pennsylvania, and it’s our first time here. We are super excited to check it out! This park offers free parking and free admission, and you can either buy books full of tickets or get a wristband for unlimited rides during the week. We went with the wristband option so we can ride all day. Come check it out with us!

Our first stop was Phoenix, a top-rated wooden coaster in the US, and wow, we can see why. It might not be the tallest or the fastest, but the airtime hills are incredible. The unique feature here is the absence of seat belts—just a lap bar holding you in, making you feel like you’re going to fly out of your seat! It was an exhilarating ride, and we can definitely say it’s a must-try.

Next, we indulged in some unique park food. Wes braved the gator bites and we tried the German Platter. We also explored the Mining Museum, which was surprisingly interesting. The museum had a nostalgic charm, showcasing amusement park history and fascinating artifacts.

One of the highlights of our day was the Black Diamond Mining Company ride. It’s a quirky indoor attraction that feels more like a dark ride than a roller coaster. With its unexpected twists and turns, it was one of the most interesting rides we’ve ever experienced. The refurbished ride offered a unique blend of thrills and storytelling, making it a standout attraction.

We also checked out the Haunted Mansion, an extra-charge ride that was worth every penny. With a mix of jungle scenes, jump scares, and clever projections, it had us laughing and screaming the whole time. To cap off our day, we rode the carousel, where I snagged the golden ring on my first try, earning a free ride. It added a fun, interactive element to the classic carousel experience.

Overall, Knoebels is a charming park that made us feel nostalgic, with its reasonably priced food, friendly staff, and fun rides. We had a blast and highly recommend it for a day of carefree fun. If you’re ever in the area, definitely stop by and check it out!
