Hey, it’s Wes and Chanda, and welcome back to DinkLife! We’re here at Kings Island for the opening night of Halloween Haunt, and we are so excited to bring you along with us. If you’ve been with us for a while, you might remember we were here last year, but we didn’t get as much footage as we wanted since we were with friends. This year, we’re flying solo and hoping to capture more of the spooky fun for you all. As always, we grabbed the Fast Lane passes to make sure we hit all the haunted houses and rides in one night. We always get them, even if we’re unsure how busy it will be—$60 per person on a Friday night, but totally worth it in our opinion.
Right off the bat, the opening ceremonies were a blast. Somehow, we missed it last year, but this time we made sure to be front and center for all the creepy characters and fireworks. The actors come out of nowhere, blending into the crowd, and the whole experience sets the mood perfectly for the rest of the night. If it’s your first time coming to Halloween Haunt, I highly recommend getting here a few minutes early to catch this show—it’s a great way to kick off the night.
We’ve already hit a few of our favorite mazes, like the Slaughterhouse and Madame Fatale’s Cavern of Terror. The detailed set design really pulls you into the creepy world they’ve built, and we even got a few solid jump scares along the way. We’ll be checking out more houses and rides as the night goes on, but so far, it’s been a fun, spooky adventure—definitely getting our money’s worth! We also caught a night ride on The Beast, which is both intense and terrifying, and we’ve featured a few of the Halloween shows in our vlog. Overall, it’s a great Ohio Halloween event that’s definitely worth checking out!
Thanks for following along, and as always, thanks for joining us. Remember: whatever you decide to do, just get out there and do it!
