Disneyland Paris 2024: What’s New, What’s Changed, and Is It Worth It?

Our day at Disneyland Paris was a mix of nostalgia and discovery. We started our journey bright and early, catching a train from London at 7:04 a.m. The ride, including a transfer, took about five hours, but it was seamless. Arriving at the park was even easier—we simply walked out of the station and headed straight to Disneyland Paris. It was our second visit, the first being back in 2018, but this time, we had our channel, and we were ready to document everything.

The first thing I noticed was how much had changed. The entrance plaza looked completely different, and they had implemented new security measures, including bag checks and metal detectors. It felt more streamlined and modern. What really stood out, though, was how much cleaner the area around the park had become—gone were the scammy tourist stands we remembered from our last trip. With our tickets in hand, we made our way into the Magic Kingdom, eager to explore the updated attractions and see what was new.

One of the highlights was Phantom Manor, their version of the Haunted Mansion. It was my first time riding it since it was closed for refurbishment during our last visit. The underground graveyard scene blew me away—it felt unique compared to the other Haunted Mansion rides. The animatronics were smoother and more detailed, and I loved the spooky vibe of the Phantom character. Another standout was Ratatouille. The ride had improved since our experience in Florida—no more 3D glasses, and you could even peek into the restaurant at the end. Those little changes made it feel fresher and more immersive.

Of course, not everything was perfect. We tried out Avengers Assemble: Flight Force, a re-theming of the old Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. While the queue and theming looked amazing, the ride itself was rough—definitely not one I’d rush to do again. Dinner at Pym’s Kitchen was another mixed experience. The creative presentation of oversized and tiny dishes was fun, but for $50 a person, I expected more. Despite some disappointments, we made the most of our day. Disneyland Paris was as beautiful as ever, and it felt good to walk the familiar paths and experience the magic in a new way. At the end of the day, tired but happy, we headed to our hotel, ready to rest and recharge for the next adventure.
