Hey, it’s West and Chanda, and welcome to DinkLife! Today, we visited the Cincinnati Museum Center, housed in the breathtakingly beautiful Cincinnati Union Terminal. This building used to be a train station, and let me tell you, they’ve kept a lot of its original charm. It’s pure Art Deco, and the ticket booths and architecture are just stunning to look at. There are several museums here, including the Cincinnati History Museum, the Museum of Natural History & Science, a Children’s Museum, and more. We grabbed tickets for the science and history museums for $25.50 each.
As we wandered through Dinosaur Hall and the exhibits, we were amazed by the scale and attention to detail. From fossilized skeletons to life-sized recreations of ancient creatures, it’s an immersive experience that makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. One of the standout sections for us was the interactive displays in the science museum, where you can watch labs in action and see some fascinating preserved specimens up close. It’s an incredible place for anyone who loves natural history or just learning something new.
The architecture alone is worth the visit! Even if you’re not big on museums, the building itself is a masterpiece, with its mid-century sculptures and panoramic views of the city and surrounding hills. We even learned they offer free guided tours of the building, which we’ll check out next time.
Overall, if you’re ever in Cincinnati, this is one Ohio museum you don’t want to miss. The exhibits are well-maintained, and the building’s history just adds to the experience. Whether you’re a history buff or just looking for a cool spot to explore, we highly recommend checking it out!
