Exploring Paris in an Hour: Seine River Cruise with the Paris City Pass

Hey, it’s Wes and Chanda, and welcome to DinkLife! We’re here in Paris, kicking off our first day with the Paris City Pass, which we purchased online through Turbo Pass. We’ll talk more about that later, but first, we’re about to take a Seine River Cruise. One thing we didn’t know beforehand is that you need to exchange the QR code you get via email for a paper ticket. So, if you’re planning to do this, make sure you do that! We’re at Pier 3 now, and it’s super easy to find—it’s right near the Eiffel Tower, so you can’t miss it. There’s a quick bag check as you come through, but otherwise, it’s smooth sailing.

The cruise was awesome! We passed so many landmarks, including the Eiffel Tower, the Grand Palais, and Notre Dame. There were some fun sights too, like a T-Rex and a giant inflatable, plus some funky statues around the bridges. The boat ride lasted about an hour and 15 minutes, which was just the right amount of time to get a great view of the city without feeling rushed. It was a relaxing way to see the sights, especially with the palm trees lining the water, giving it a sort of Florida vibe!

One thing to note is that Paris has a lot of street vendors selling small trinkets, and if you make eye contact or speak to them, they’ll follow you around trying to sell you stuff. We learned the best thing to do is just ignore them to avoid being hounded all day. That’s definitely something to keep in mind while you’re out and about.

Overall, the Seine River Cruise was definitely worth it, especially with the City Pass. It gives you a chance to see a lot of iconic spots without having to rush around the city. If you’re in Paris for just a couple of days, this is a great way to get a quick overview of everything. The City Pass is a solid deal for the price, and we highly recommend it for anyone looking to experience as much as possible in a short time. Remember, as always, whatever you decide to do, just get out there and do it!
