We stayed at the Meliá Parkside in Shanghai during our Disney adventure, and it turned out to be one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had—especially for the price ($175 a night). Even though the hotel offers a shuttle, we chose to walk the beautiful 15-minute path from DisneyTown. The property was serene, well-landscaped, and full of charming touches like lit-up walkways and peaceful courtyards.
Our room was stunning massive in size, with a separate tub and shower, high-end finishes, and thoughtful details throughout. From the floor-to-ceiling mirror and scale in the bathroom to the plush slippers, USB ports, and even pint glasses for beer, everything felt well-considered. And the balcony? A total bonus, with a view of the lovely courtyard.
At night, we headed down to the hotel bar, where the ambiance was cozy and relaxing even though it was a bit chilly. We sipped on a couple of drinks next to the fireplace, enjoying the calm vibe after a long day. Honestly, it felt like a luxury hotel experience at a budget price. As DinkLife travelers, this is exactly the kind of hidden gem we love to find.
