Day 2 at Shanghai Disneyland turned into one of the most chill and heartfelt days of our whole Disney trip. I woke up feeling pretty rough, but Wes was sweet enough to let me rest until I felt good enough to go, and honestly, coming in late was the best idea. The park was quiet, the entry lines were simple, and we were able to just enjoy the day without stress.
We took our time revisiting favorite spots like Pirates of the Caribbean (still the best version we’ve seen!), explored the Alice in Wonderland Maze, and even hung New Year wishes in the Garden of the Twelve Friends. Walking through Toy Story Land and spotting fun merch in Al’s Toy Barn gave us that dose of childlike joy we love. The castle shimmered at night like no other Disney park, and it felt so magical.
By the end of the day, emotions ran high as we realized we’d completed all six Disney parks around the world. It’s not something most people get to do, and we felt incredibly grateful. While Shanghai Disney may not have all the classic rides, it has a charm, beauty, and hospitality that sets it apart. This was a day and a trip we’ll never forget.
