Hey it’s Wes and Chanda and welcome to DinkLife. We made a spontaneous return to Universal CityWalk Hollywood, having only visited once before back in 2019. We didn’t remember much from that trip, so this visit felt almost brand new. CityWalk in Hollywood is smaller than Orlando’s, but it packs in a lot more charm and interesting experiences.
We grabbed some lunch, then wandered around to explore everything this compact space had to offer. The Epic Universe and Super Nintendo World stores were full of unique and quirky merch, from Nintendo-themed hats and pins to rare items like cup noodle slippers and glow-in-the-dark collectibles. We even found some cool memorabilia at Celebrity Authentics, like hoverboards, autographed pieces, and Marvel props.
What surprised us most was just how much more engaging this location was compared to Orlando’s. While Orlando’s is bigger, it often feels more commercial and less diverse in what’s offered. Hollywood’s CityWalk had more personality, cooler shops, and an easier layout to navigate.
We ended the day feeling like this might be our favorite CityWalk yet. So if you’re visiting Universal Studios Hollywood, definitely set aside an hour or more to explore the CityWalk. You won’t regret it. Remember, as always, whatever you decide to do, just get out there and do it!
