Hidden Hollywood Gems: Inside the Star-Studded Hollywood Museum!

Hey it’s Wes and Chanda and welcome to DinkLife. We recently spent the day exploring the Hollywood Museum, located right in the heart of downtown Hollywood. This place had been on our radar for a while, mostly because I’d heard about its Back to the Future memorabilia. With some free time before our flight, we decided to check it out—and we’re so glad we did.

Housed in the historic Max Factor building, the museum itself is worth visiting just for the architecture. As we explored, we came across an incredible array of film memorabilia—props and costumes from The Godfather, Star Wars, Star Trek, Stranger Things, and even horror legends like Freddy Krueger and Hannibal Lecter. It felt like walking through movie history.

One of the coolest parts was the horror section in the basement. They had the Kill Bill sword, the Jason mask, and creepy setups from movies like 13 Ghosts and House of 1000 Corpses. The third floor featured a rotating exhibit focusing on Black entertainment, showcasing some amazing costumes and tributes to important cultural figures.

The museum only costs $15 per adult, which felt like a steal considering everything we saw. There’s also convenient parking right next door for $20. If you’re a fan of film history, it’s definitely worth checking out. Remember, as always, whatever you decide to do, just get out there and do it!
