Inside This Surprisingly Cool Best Western by Henry Ford Museum

Hey it’s Wes and Chanda and welcome to DinkLife.

We just stayed at the Best Western near Detroit and Dearborn, Michigan—likely in Allen Park—and we were honestly surprised by how great it was. This isn’t your typical Best Western. We originally picked it for its proximity to the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village, but once we stayed here the first time, we knew we had to come back.

The room was super clean with no carpet (huge plus for us!), a comfy king bed, and practical touches like a fridge, microwave, and full desk space. The bathroom had plenty of counter space and towels, and we loved the little quirky things like a doorbell and automatic “Do Not Disturb” display. It just felt thoughtful and a step above the norm.

Beyond the room, the hotel features a pool, hot tub, and even a sauna—plus a full bar and restaurant, which you don’t often find in non-luxury hotels. There’s also a fitness room, laundry area, and pet-friendly policies. The Victorian-styled exterior makes it feel unique, and the hallways are filled with Detroit car culture.

Remember, as always, whatever you decide to do, just get out there and do it!
