While still exploring Orlando, we hunted for another offbeat bar to check out, and wow—did we find a good one. We ended up at Vault 5421, a sci-fi horror-themed bar hidden in the very back of a comic book store called Gods & Monsters. You actually have to walk through the shop to reach the bar, which is tucked away like a secret lair. From the spooky decor to the arcade machines, the vibe here is unmatched.
The drinks were not only creative but also super affordable. Wes got a Nukea Cola while I finally tracked down the Lactoer sour beer I’d been craving since Halloween. The atmosphere felt like walking into a crossover between a haunted house and a nerdy collector’s dream. We were surrounded by everything from Dungeons & Dragons and Star Wars to giant Home Depot skeletons and Vienna sausages—yes, really.
After a few drinks, we wandered the shop itself, which is packed with collectibles, comics, and rare pop culture finds. From Chainsaw Man and One Piece to Garbage Pail tarot cards and vintage Little Golden Books, there was something fun around every corner. Even if you’re not deep into the comic book world, it’s an amazing place to explore.
If you’re in Orlando near Universal Studios and want to visit a bar that’s truly one of a kind, this is it. Vault 5421 at Gods & Monsters was a total highlight of our trip. Remember, as always, whatever you decide to do, just get out there and do it!
