Wes Went 94 Stories Up! Chicago Skyline Like You’ve Never Seen It

Hey it’s Wes and Chanda and welcome to DinkLife. We took our adventure to new heights with a trip up 360 Chicago—an observation deck located on the 94th floor of one of the city’s tallest buildings. At $40 per person for general admission, we knew this wouldn’t be cheap, but we wanted to find out if those views were worth the price.

Once inside, the elevator shot us to the top so quickly that our ears popped. The view? Absolutely stunning. You could see everything from Navy Pier to the Sears Tower and beyond. There was seating to relax and even a small bar called Cloud Bar offering beer and cocktails, though the prices were steep—$13 for a beer, $23 for a mixed drink. Still, it was a great way to enjoy the skyline from a quiet perch high above the city.

They also offer an add-on called Tilt, where you lean out over the city in a glass panel. I skipped it, but it looked like fun for thrill-seekers. The gift shops both upstairs and downstairs were pretty solid, featuring models, t-shirts, and souvenir medallions. They even had a crushed penny machine that pitched your coins out onto the floor—unexpected but amusing!

All in all, I spent about an hour up there just soaking in the views. It’s pricey, especially for larger families, but it’s one of those once-in-a-while experiences that really delivers. If you’re in Chicago and want to see the city from a whole new angle, this one’s hard to beat. Remember, as always, whatever you decide to do, just get out there and do it!
