Hey it’s Wes and Chanda and welcome to DinkLife. We’re spending the holidays in London and decided to visit the famous Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. We’d heard mixed things—locals said it was overrated but still worth doing once—so we wanted to see it for ourselves.
Walking in, we were immediately struck by the scale. This isn’t your typical Christmas market—it’s more like a full-on theme park. We didn’t ride anything or attend any shows, but just wandering the space took over two hours. Between the Bavarian Village, the revolving bars, insane roller coasters, and even a VR ride, the setup blew us away. It’s like a wild mix of Oktoberfest and Disneyland with a holiday twist.
The food was next-level, too. Even though we had just eaten, we were tempted by langosh, Yorkshire pudding wraps, and more. The drinks were flowing, and with bars every 100 feet, you were never far from a festive pint or mug of mulled wine. Honestly, it felt like a party built for Christmas lovers.
So was it touristy? Absolutely. Was it fun? 100%. We usually avoid big tourist events, but this one was totally worth it. If you’re in London between Thanksgiving and Christmas, don’t skip this. Remember, as always, whatever you decide to do, just get out there and do it!
