Hey it’s Wes and Chanda and welcome to DinkLife! We’re back in London, sooner than we expected, and this time we’re staying super central — just 400 feet from Paddington Station at the Premier Inn Paddington. This was a strategic choice after taking the Heathrow Express again, and we wanted to avoid dragging our bags all over the city.
Let us just say — this room is huge by European standards. We’ve stayed in hotels and Airbnbs across Europe, and this Premier Inn room is easily double the size of most we’ve experienced. The bathroom is big, the shower is spacious, and the bed is one of the most comfortable we’ve slept in. We even got an early check-in around 8 AM, which was a massive bonus after an overnight flight.
Of course, there are a few trade-offs. The WiFi is slow, there are no washcloths or separate shampoo and conditioner, and the shower door doesn’t quite prevent water from splashing out. But the staff is helpful, the room is spotless, and they’ll clean your room every few days if you let them know.
We’d definitely stay here again for the convenience, comfort, and value. It’s a perfect spot to land when you first arrive in London. Remember, as always, whatever you decide to do, just get out there and do it!
