Exploring the World’s Oldest Toy Store at Christmas – Hamleys London Magic!

Hey it’s Wes and Chanda and welcome to DinkLife! We’re back in one of our favorite cities – London – and this time it’s all about soaking up the Christmas magic. We’ve always wanted to experience the holiday season in London, and this year we finally made it happen. One of the highlights? Visiting Hamleys – the oldest toy store in the world.

Hamleys is a total experience. It’s been open for 265 years, and stepping inside is like diving headfirst into a magical wonderland. This time around, we dedicated an entire video just to the store, rather than squeezing it into a bigger day vlog. We explored all seven floors packed with toys, Christmas decorations, and displays that brought back so many childhood memories.

We saw everything from Disney robots, classic RC cars like Wild Willie, a massive Lego flower bouquet, and even Playmobil versions of London life. There’s a whole Build-A-Bear area, a magic section, and even fancy kids’ espresso makers. And of course, Christmas took over many parts of the store – with festive windows, plush Santas, and Harry Potter magic.

Unfortunately, we had to wrap up quickly to make it to a lunch reservation – which turned out to be a bust due to a plumbing issue. Still, this visit to Hamleys made the whole trip worth it. Remember, as always, whatever you decide to do, just get out there and do it!
